INDIANAPOLIS — The 102nd Indianapolis 500 is Sunday, and 33 drivers — including Danica Patrick, who’s returning to IndyCar for one last race before retiring from racing — will compete for a chance to win one of the most prestigious motor sports events.

And, of course, to drink a large jug of milk in celebration.

But who has the best odds to win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend? According to both OddsShark.com and VegasInsider.com, Alexander Rossi is the favorite at +800 — as of Wednesday — despite the fact that he and his No. 27 Honda qualified 32nd and will start in the last row of drivers. A lot could happen in 500 miles, so it’s very possible Rossi — who won the 2016 Indy 500 as a rookie and is currently second in the driver standings — could make his way to the front.

Three-time Indy 500 winner and last year’s runner-up Hélio Castroneves — who isn’t in IndyCar full-time this season — has the next best shot at winning, according to VegasInsider, at +900. But OddsShark puts Castroneves’ chances at +1000, along with reigning IndyCar Series champion Josef Newgarden and 2014 series champ Will Power. All three drivers compete for Team Penske.

OddsShark has this year’s pole sitter, Ed Carpenter, at +1200, while VegasInsider puts him at +1000.

If you happen to be looking into odds for James Hinchcliffe or Pippa Mann, you won’t find them. Surprisingly — but for different reasons — neither driver qualified for the race last Saturday. Hinchcliffe was the pole winner at the 2016 Indy 500, and he’s currently fifth in the overall IndyCar standings. Mann doesn’t compete full-time in IndyCar, but she raced in six Indy 500s between 2011 and 2017.
